mira is Spanish for "look." Paulo Lopez's camera does exactly what a tourist's camera does in Havana, aiming at cigar-smoking citizens and vintage cars parked for effect. Those staged encounters get set against the city that keeps going anyway: a ration-store counter, laundry lines, a girl on a payphone. The cover reworks one of the staged photos into a mosaic style inspired by Fusterlandia, itself a Havana tourist attraction.
