Latent is a title that can hold three things at once: the minutes a Polaroid takes to develop, the technical term for an exposed but undeveloped image, and the twenty years Paulo Lopez went before recognizing these particular Polaroids as pictures rather than mistakes. Twenty-six made the final cut, with pairs matched by the shape of their flaws. Shot on Polaroid film through an SX-70 Sonar OneStep and on Spectra.
